Gerco van Hoften

Diamond Insight is created and managed by Gerco van Hoften. Gerco has over 20 years of experience in marketing, sales and business development. He has worked with a wide range of B2B multinationals and Fortune 500 enterprises around the world in the plastics-, automotive-, and transportation industries.

Over 7 years of his career he spent with GE Plastics in various positions in industrial marketing & sales in the european automotive and aerospace markets. Another 13 years with Owens Corning in regional and global leadership positions in marketing, sales, account management and business entrepreneurship in the automotive, leisure vehicle and building materials markets.

During his career Gerco gained experiences through exposure to a wide range of responsibilities from field sales to commercial leadership and general management. His skills base started with his MSc in Aerospace Engineering where he learned to handle and solve complex problems, be creative, think out-of-the-box and stamina in challenging current limits. He worked over 10 years in the global automotive industries where he learned what it means to take calculated risks, keeping margins up and delivering results while operating under tremendous pressures.

His most recent responsibilities further improved his business development track record, working with the leadership of large successful US business entities going abroad. He established strategic start-up growth platforms and strong business partnerships on their behalf in Europe.
